One of the best benefits about the card is that you can earn points absolutely anywhere that you shop. You will earn 1 frequent flyer point for each $1 that spent. Also as a limited offer, you could earn an extra 5,000 flyer points if you make a purchase on the card by 31st December 2011. These additional points will enable you to go on an economy class flight from Melbourne to Brisbane. You will also be able to spend them in the frequent flyer online store. There are some stores where you can earn more than 1 point per $1 spent. If you shop at BIG W, Woolworths Supermarkets or BWS, then you will receive an additional point per $1 if you spend more than $30. As well as frequent flyer points, you will receive fuel saving offers with the Everyday Rewards. The reward points can be spent on over 1,800 items.
If you need to transfer a balance over then you can benefit from a 5.99% p.a. for 6 months. This enables you to better manage your debts. You can also benefit from 55 days interest free on all purchases that you make. This is providing that your closing balance is paid in full by the due date.
Paying for your purchases also couldn’t be easier. The card benefits from MasterCard PayPass. As long as you are spending $100 or less, you can simply tap and go. You won’t have to sign anything or wait for the card to be accepted. The card also enables you to take advantage of MasterCard Moments. This service is designed for premium MasterCard holders and you will be able to enjoy special treats as well as an exclusive entertainment system.
The Rates You Will Have to Pay
There is a 19.99% p.a interest rate on most purchases on the card. There will also be an $89 annual fee that you need to pay. These are the only two main fees that are charged. There is also the low balance transfer rate at 5.99% p.a. for 6 months. In comparison to a lot of other credit cards, this one is quite cheap to use.
Applying for the Card
If you would like to apply for the Woolworths card then you can do it through their website. It takes just a few minutes to apply. However, you should make sure that you meet the minimum criteria.
Firstly you need to be at least 18 years of age. You also need to earn a minimum of $50,000 per year. A credit check will be carried out and it is recommended by the company that the main household income earner applies for the card.
