The Everyday Money credit card from Woolworths has a lucrative set of features. Their balance transfer offer boasts of low interest rates (5.99% p.a. for 6 months). If you are regular Woolworths customer or simply shopping for a new credit card, Woolworths balance transfer card is worth checking out.
Features of the Everyday Money credit card
- The first year annual fee is waived – annual fee of $49
- Additional cardholder at no extra cost – All Everyday Money cardholders have the option of adding another cardholder for free. You can earn reward points on both the cards for purchases made with either of the Everyday Money cards.
- Low interest rates – These cards offer a very competitive interest rate, which at present is 19.84% p.a. for purchases and 21.34% p.a. on cash advances.
- Interest free period on purchases – You can enjoy up to 55 days of interest free period on purchases made with the Everyday Money card. Please note that the interest free period only applies if all card balances are paid in full within the statement due dates. For cash advances and any Woolworths balance transfer the interest free period does not apply. During any statement period if there is any cash advance amount or balance transfer outstanding interest will be charge on any purchases from the date of purchase.
- Greater acceptance – This is a MasterCard credit card, and therefore accepted at stores that display the MasterCard logo.
- Enhanced security – The embedded chip in the card provides better security against unauthorized use of your credit card and protects you from possible credit card fraud.
- More convenient shopping – With the MasterCard Paypass system you can checkout any items below $35 just by tapping your card. No need to sign or enter your PIN.
- Access to Repayment Insurance – You can choose to avail yourself of repayment insurance for as low as 60c for every $1000 balance outstanding. In the event of involuntary unemployment (due to retrenchment) or any accident or illness preventing you from working you can get financial help toward repaying your credit card balance through the Everyday Money Repayment Insurance.
- Comprehensive Rewards Program – Purchases made with the card gain reward points that can redeemed for a variety of items.
- Choose your own card color – An innovative option of your choosing the color of your card from black, pink, blue or green.
Balance Transfer
You can also request a balance transfer from any non-HSBC credit card to your Everyday Money card. All such Woolworths balance transfer deals will be charged at 5.99% p.a. for 6 months. After that period any outstanding balance will accrue interest at the cash advance rate, which is currently 21.34% p.a. p.a.
